When And Why You Should Buy Miles
When should you buy miles? Buying miles is extremely easy, but there are other ways to collect airline miles as well those tips are listed below. It’s not rocket science, and once you know how to go about accumulating points everything becomes easier.
1. Collect miles through flying
I am lucky enough to fly 400,000+miles per year and more than half of these miles are flown on revenue tickets. These miles allow me to stack up quit a few miles that way.
2. Using credit card for spending/ collecting miles through sign up bonuses
With the lethal combination of these two by the end of the year (or even during the year) I end up large number of miles.
3. Through buying miles
sometimes airlines are known to sell frequent flyer miles at a discounted price. This is probably one of the best times to stock up on some airline miles, because when the airlines sell their miles at a discounted price, there is often a deal involved as well. I love buying airline miles when I want to purchase a particular luxury cabin award tickets. With these miles I end up getting a massive discount on my business class ticket.
4. What is the best way to earn miles?
Personally, I wouldn’t recommend flying as the best way to collect frequent flyer miles. This is because it will take forever and a day to collect the amount you need for your next award ticket. Another reason is that mileage running is dead, so my 400,000+ flown miles on purchased tickets are mostly used for all the traveling that I have to do.
One of the most ideal ways to earn miles is through credit cards. In order to use credit cards and their sign up bonuses to their maximum potential you’ll need a good credit card and intelligent spending habits.
What about those who don’t live in the US and don’t have credit card companies that offer similar deals and sign up bonuses? Thankfully, airlines sell discounted airline miles all over the world. They don’t focus solely on the US. Whenever airlines sell frequent flyer miles they typically price them somewhere between 1.5 and 2.3 cent for every mile.
5. Why should you buy airline miles at a discount?
Airlines are typically used best for international business class tickets. Frequent flyer miles are awesome because with their help passengers get to save a huge chunk of money on international business class tickets. The same amount of saving does not occur when purchasing award tickets for economy class. With airline miles you can also get a free upgrade on your coach ticket. There are also multiple other discounts and perks involved as well.
6. What if airlines don’t sell discounted airline miles?
You needn’t worry if airlines are not selling frequent flyer miles, because there are other companies who do. There are mileage brokers who’re in the business of selling airline miles at a great price. So if whenever you have the need to buy airline miles, these are your safest bet.
